After more than 30 years in interior design and construction, I understand how decisions made in a showroom affect the work happening on-site. For example, changing tile size can alter the layout. A wallcovering may require special surface preparation. Custom window treatments need accurate measurements and room for mounting hardware.
I review these details early and communicate them clearly to the people completing the work. That practical oversight helps prevent missed selections, conflicting information, and costly last-minute changes.
My experience also includes extensive knowledge of the permitting and inspection process. I understand how plans, specifications, permits, and field conditions connect, and I’m comfortable communicating with contractors and inspectors on-site. That construction knowledge helps me spot potential issues and understand what I’m seeing as the work progresses.

My role focuses on the design side of the project. I coordinate selections, specifications, product information, and communication related to the approved design.
At the same time, the builder or general contractor remains responsible for construction methods, permits, trade scheduling, site safety, and the work performed by subcontractors. Everyone knows who to contact when questions arise.
